Hong Kong Human Rights Monitor heard with sorrow the death of Mr. Leung Kam Kwong, a senior immigration officer who remained in critical condition after his injury in the arson attack to the Immigration Tower last Wednesday. We want to express our deepest condolence to his family.

Human Rights Monitor again call on the Hong Kong public to distinguish those who inflicted such violence on others from those right of abode claimants who remained peaceful in spite of all the injustice that has been forced on them. Those peaceful right of abode claimants should not be blamed for what they had not done.
